Kyozo describes their sound as shoegaze and postrock. That's definitely true, but they also have a garage-like math-rock sound that made j-rock bands like Ling Tosite Sigure, luminousorange, and Veltpunch popular. This EP is short, but loaded with melodic softs, crunched distortions, and vocals that make you just want to spread yourself on the floor and stare into space as you daydream. I love the mellow and melancholic melodies in each song. I especially enjoy the sweet harmonics opening "Safe Haven," with a cathartic juxtaposition of crashing drums, guitar, and bass that continues through the entire song.

Even though this album isn't instrumental because of the vocals in Sojourner, this one quickly became one of my favorite instrumentals which I never gave it enough time to truly appreciate it until recently. "The real cheez its were the friends we made along the way" -Kyle (2019) (I don't think I'll ever get over that quote)
